Some people decide to revisit their homes and belongings when important life-changing events happen: lockdown, moving home, downsizing, new arrivals, retirement… Others, just when the time feels right.
I know that people benefit from help sorting through their belongings in order to feel better organised and more energised. With a PhD and background working in museums, I have researched and curated many collections – I’m qualified in caring for and sorting objects.
Over the years I’ve spoken with lots of people about their personal stories and their ‘things’ and I just love to help organise and categorise overstuffed kitchen drawers, clothes cupboards that don’t close any more, print photos and those zillion spare batteries!
I will take a kind approach to help you go through your home, working quickly and thoroughly, helping you make the difficult decisions over what to keep, where store your things, and how to move forward.
Having moved from a small flat to a larger house – our clutter has just accumulated! We lacked motivation and still had boxes of books and crockery from our move a few years ago still unpacked so we needed assistance! Sophie was a great practical help. She is great at being motivational but sensitive. The result has been great! The boxes of books and crockery are now unpacked (and packed again for charity shop!) and we will be starting on the shed when the weather improves next year!
After renovations on our house finished, we had reached a lull in putting everything back together again. Sophie came and helped me think about how to use the storage available, helped me with ideas for additional storage, and made our bookshelf usable again! I thoroughly recommend her.
I've had a super lovely experience with these guys, working mostly with Sophie who is local to me. I was getting overwhelmed by all our stuff that had built up over the years in our little flat, especially working at home at times now. We went through basically the whole flat in 4 x 3 hour sessions, starting with my office space and ending with the kitchen. It's extremely helpful working with someone who can help keep you focused and motivated down to the last item, bring really helpful ideas about how to use your space more effectively and get stuck in with you. Sophie was super lovely and she didn't push us to get rid of things or change things we didn't want to but helped us think about things in a more practical way. Great communication from Sophie and the company and an excellent experience. Great value for money too, as it's like a long term investment. I really recommend them.
