Based in and covering West and Greater London. I am passionate about what I do because it literally changes people’s lives. There are many things in life that we cannot control, however in truth our home is one thing we can.
I believe that everyone deserves to live in a place that is beautiful to them, meets their practical needs, is uplifting and ideally stress free. I am a mother of three children and we have moved home as a family many times so I can help you make this process as smooth as possible. I have also had to downsize my elderly parents and as they are no longer with us, I understand the challenges of both old age and bereavement.
My career background is in finance and marketing and then over 25 years of experience in the design industry so have a lot of experience advising clients on how to make the most of their space and restyle their homes.
I will work with you in a bespoke, empathetic, compassionate and non-judgemental way to help you create a home that you love. For all services, wherever possible, everything is recycled, keeping landfill to an absolute minimum.
Pauline has worked wonders and our kitchen and dining rooms are now a pleasure to be in. The dining room floor is clear for the first time in years and both rooms are so much easier to use with clear surfaces and ordered cupboards and shelves. She has also transformed our hallway - what was an obstacle course of shoes and outerwear, is now a calm space where everything has its place and shoes can be easily accessed and put away. I have four children and my mother living with me, and all the paraphernalia and accumulated stuff that accompanies a large active family. Pauline has worked tirelessly with sensitivity and respect to create order and better organised space for us all to enjoy. She has been a real lifesaver at a time when I was really struggling to cope. She is lovely to work with positive, encouraging, efficient and hardworking and I am looking forward to tackling more rooms and continuing to overhaul and reduce my paperwork (which is already so much easier to manage).
Pauline came to help me after my husband died and I had to downsize from a 5 story house to a 3 bedroom flat. She was very practical; going through each step clearly, but she was also sensitive. She laid out the options, made suggestions but left me with the choice. She was always positive and helped me keep the pace up and not get too caught up as I sorted through so much stuff. In some areas, it was very difficult to make a decision and Pauline was really helpful at talking through what the practicalities were and their implications. This made the whole process much easier. Throughout, her moral support was fantastic, and I am now very settled in my lovely new home. I am extremely grateful that I was able to eliminate all the clutter before I moved rather than taking it all with me!
Pauline has abundant energy with a wealth of experience and great ideas. Her aim is to help you make the most of your living space based upon your own tastes and budget. She has helped me enormously making some simple suggestions of the ‘why didn’t I think of that’ plus giving me more of a coordinated look to my two bedroomed flat, having moved from a large 4 bedroomed house. Her help has been invaluable so that we have a less cluttered and more welcoming space to enjoy living in, where everything has a place. Thank you Pauline!
Pauline gets results – no doubt about it, and is a diligent worker. My kitchen looked lovely after a full day of work with Pauline and I took pictures. People who had known the mess it had been in, were pleasantly surprised. It has made life less stressful in the preparation of food and undertaking laundry.
I highly recommend Pauline Purves in her capacity to declutter, reorganise and restyle. She worked in my flat tirelessly de-cluttering and re-organising firstly my daughter’s bedroom, then other rooms over a period of time. Pauline has a natural ability to make everything look appealing. She is very efficient, very hardworking, she goes over and above the remit. I would go so far as to say that Pauline is a godsend! She was definitely one to me when I needed help in my home. If you are looking for a reliable, talented and hard-working person to help you, you cannot go wrong with Pauline. She is fun to be around as well, a very nice person, kind and generous, with a lot of energy and good ideas. She has a clarity of vision which will help to transform your living space into a home you will want to spend as much time as possible in.
This was my first time using this service, I had a lovely lady Pauline who kindly helped me clear my clutter from my tiny sitting room, and helped me sort out my kitchen counters and cupboard under sink (I have way too many cloths/tea towels) during our 3 hour session. I have arthritis so it was great having an extra pair of hands. Pauline was friendly, chatty and non judgemental, I have collected a lot of stuff over the years and I do try to regularly clear clothes and other items, this has given me a kick up the derrière, I found it so nice to relax in my sitting room after all the clutter was gone. I can’t afford to pay for this service on a regular basis, but I thought I really needed the help to get me started on my decluttering mission and I’m so glad I did. Thanks Pauline, I’m starting to love my home again x my daughter was definitely impressed and had a big smile on her face when she came home from college.
Pauline worked so hard in sorting out a huge amount of clutter for us in our office and did an excellent job of organising the remaining items. She stayed beyond the booked time in order to get the job done which was greatly appreciated. I'd highly recommend!
